2018 OSC Summer Camps
Hello Parents! The OSC is excited to offer weekly summer camps starting July 9th through August 24th. Hours of operation are from 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. Cost of each camp is $225.00 per week ($180 for week 5). Dig out your dress up clothes and get ready for summer fun, as each camp will be a different themed adventure!
Alongside our awesome themes, campers will take part in regular weekly activities* such as; face painting, foosball, melting beads, Lego, arts & crafts, outside play, drama and music, and of course swimming and water park fun.
Register Now! Space is limited to only 24 campers/week. Don’t delay, we are ready to play!
- Please drop off a completed registration form as soon as possible.
- A 25% deposit of $56.25 is required to secure your spot with your registration.
- This can be made by e-transfer, cash or post dated cheques.
- Full payment is required 3 weeks before the first Monday of each camp week.
Green Thumbs In The ‘Hood’.
July 9-13 $225
Bring your green thumbs and lets get earthy. This week we will be planting and decorating pots, tie dying t-shirts, visiting the compost education centre, as well as, community outings around our neighbour’hood’. Day trips to include the local Fire Hall and Government House gardens. Up the hill at the Compost Education Centre we’ll taste, touch and smell a garden of treasures such as local herbs, veggies and berries. Campers are sure to take part in a game or two of Planet Carrot and Hot Potato!
July 16-20 $225
Calling all Wild Ones. Dig out your animal costumes and best howls. Let’s explore the animal kingdom from ladybugs to lions. We will be creating treats for our four legged and feathered friends, as well as, learning about our local and native animal species. Out trips to include: Bug Zoo, BHP Petting Farm, feeding the seals at Oak Bay Marina and spending time with the ducks. We will have special animal guests and more. This camp is the cats meow!
Under the Sea.
July 23 – 27 $225
Get set to get wet! Plug your nose as we dive into a camp all about our oceans. Anyone for a game of crab soccer or octopus? Maybe you’ll arrive as a fisherman or a squid! Campers will explore local beaches and learn all about marine life. We will build sandcastles, search for treasure and visit Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre in ‘Sidney by the Sea’. Of course swimming is a must, are you faster than a porpoise?
July 30 – Aug 3 $225
Campers, please fasten your seatbelts and put your trays in their upright position as we prepare for a worldly adventure. After creating your passport and learning about maps, we will embark to far off destinations including historic Craigdarroch Castle, the multicultural streets of Chinatown and the majestic hills of Hollywood Park. Learn to count in a foreign language, test your taste buds with an exotic snack and dance to the hits of Bollywood. Don’t forget to send a postcard. Can you walk like an Egyptian?

Let’s create some headlines! Super Throw, Amazing Goal, Awesome Sportsmanship.
SJD Athletes will participate in an OSC twist of activities such as frisbee golf, basketball, soccer, volleyball, street hockey, hopscotch, cartwheel and wheelbarrow races, water balloon relays and much, much more. These MVP’s will also tumble at Victoria Gymnastics Club and climb the walls of Stelly’s Bouldering Gym.
Spread Your Pixy Wings or Walk the Plank!
August 13-17 $225
Captain Hook be warned, the OSC Pirates and Fairies have arrived. Magic wands, fairy wings, peg legs, eye patches and jolly Roger flags will bring us courage to explore new worlds. All ye scallywags will hunt for treasure at Quimper Park and walk the plank into the blue seas of the Commonwealth Pool. Propelled by magic pixy dust we will visit Peter Pan Water Park, Craigdarroch Castle, The Maritime Museum and other ‘Fairy’field favorites.
Arts, Crafts, Action!
August 19 – 24 $225
Calling all creators, grab your supplies and imaginations for this camp is a true masterpiece. We will create personal decorated mugs, enjoy professional art lessons, mould salt dough sculptures, compose OSC chart favourites and dance the week away. Artists will discover their passions with visits to the Victoria Art Gallery, lessons from the Conservatory of Music and improve games from the Theatre Company. That’s a wrap!
